RICHMOND HILL, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In a strong show of support for the striking workers of CUPE 905, members of CUPE Ontario’s executive board will hold a rally at the union’s picket lines tomorrow in Richmond Hill.
CUPE 905’s members maintain parks and roads, ensure clean drinking water, and operate arenas, community centres and theatres in Richmond Hill. Their labour dispute, which began November 22, is focused on the union’s fight for stable, secure jobs and fair pay increases that reflect the value of members’ work and their contributions to the high quality of city services.
CUPE Ontario executive board members will rally and picket in solidarity with CUPE 905 members and lend their voices to workers’ demand for a fair deal.
