Mining software solutions provider Micromine has announced a strategic partnership with Loadscan, a volumetric scanning technology company, to improve the precision and automation of haulage data capture in mining operations.
This collaboration integrates Micromine’s Pitram real-time mine control and fleet management solution (FMS) with Loadscan’s MPS, where payload data from scanners, each identified by a unique serial number, is securely accessed.
Material type and specific gravity inputs into Micromine Pitram allow the system to calculate total weight and record payload events, ensuring accurate real-time reporting and comprehensive haulage data records as trucks dump material.
Micromine strategic product manager Brendon Shadlow said: “With this partnership, we are empowering mine operators to access the most accurate haulage data possible.
“By eliminating manual data entry and potential human errors, we are helping operators make smarter decisions that drive efficiency and improve asset performance.”
The partnership aims to minimise human error in data entry and enhance decision-making with accurate, real-time payload information.

This data-driven approach is expected to optimise equipment use, improve plant processing and reduce operational costs by enabling adjustments based on asset performance and material management insights.
Loadscan managing director Carey West said: “Integrating our volumetric scanning technology with Micromine Pitram creates a powerful solution for mining operators.
“By providing precise, automated payload data directly into Pitram, we are enabling teams to focus on optimising their operations rather than worrying about data quality. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to driving innovation and efficiency in the mining industry.”
